The Center for Information Dissemination and Education Resources (CIDER) is VA HSR national Resource Center, located in Boston. CIDER is the major conduit for dissemination and educational services support for HSR.
CIDER's mission is to improve the health and healthcare of our nation's Veterans. By widely distributing important HSR findings to clinicians, researchers, managers, policymakers, and the general public, CIDER plays a pivotal role in supporting implementation of evidence-based research throughout VA. Through educational services, including meetings and webinars, CIDER provides the VA HSR community with regular opportunities to enhance health services research and to improve the health outcomes of Veterans—both systematically and individually.
CIDER's goal is to support dissemination and encourage the use of research-based evidence in making policy and clinical practice decisions aimed at improving quality, patient care, and health outcomes.
